About Eduardo

Hey there! I'm a motivated 22 year old who is currently a Senior at UT Arlington, where I'm majoring in Mathematics. I have 2 years of tutoring experience working with high school students in subjects including Algebra 1-2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.

I began tutoring independently when my former high school Physics teacher recommended me to parents who were looking for a tutor. I quickly realized that I really enjoy being able to help others through teaching. Understanding fundamental concepts is key in Mathematics. My goal is to aid students by explaining elemental ideas clearly, so that they can successfully break down and solve even the toughest problems.

As a research-oriented university student with a focus in Pure Mathematics, I'm eager to provide my students with context and insight related to their subject that most regular tutors lack. When I was a high school student, no teacher derived the Quadratic Formula for me. No teacher proved the Pythagorean Theorem in class. I am here to change that, for it is the insight of where the material comes from, that enables students to develop a deep understanding of the subject.

I am passionate about Math, and I firmly believe everyone can be great at it if they are committed to success.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

My educational background includes 3 separate courses related to differential equations: Introduction to Differential Equations, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, and Partial Differential Equations. Through many hours of rigorous homework and examinations, these courses have made me proficient at solving differential equations at the undergraduate level. Moreover, I am deeply interested in Differential Equations, and I am currently working on research related to Partial Differential Equations.

Patient, knowledgeable, and personable

Eduardo recently assisted my grandson with his pre-calculus test preparation. We were able to send the review sheet to Eduardo, and he did a wonderful job clarifying areas that were difficult for my grandson. Eduardo is very patient and easy-going. He offered very helpful supplementary information. Needless to say, my grandson was very impressed with Eduardo, and we will definitely be using h
