“**Knowledgeable and patient tutor**”

I have been tutoring for a total of about 5 years, cumulatively. I love teaching one on one and creating individualized approaches to explain and work through concepts in a way that is effective for each particular student. I love the excitement of solving new problems with each meeting and I love being a part of each student's improvement and

Madelyn has helped our son achieve a vast improvement on mathematics and a better understanding of how to solve problems in his high school math classes. She has helped him raise his grades a full letter from a C to a B. We will continue to use Madelyn as our tutor as long as we can.

Madelyn helped with the important last steps to help finish up the required science fair project. This really helped us out!

Elementary Education:

Elementary Math,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a solid math education including successfully passing AP Calculus in high school and taking various math courses such as Calculus, Statistics, Accounting and Finance while pursuing my bachelors degree. I have tutored math for students of all ages from 2nd grade to college over the past 12 years and have seen improvements in my students' confidence and ability after only a few sessions. I have had positive feedback from all of my clients and I know I can help your student. I can think outside the box and explain these concepts in new and interesting ways to keep your student motivated. Algebra 1 is an important math foundation which will be used not only in higher level math courses, but throughout your student's life.

Elementary school is where we learn the foundations of math that we then build on for the rest of our academic career and ultimately use for the rest of our lives. I have experience tutoring children grades 2-6 in elementary math and can help you, too. I believe that anyone can conquer an obstacle in math. Whether you are a "numbers person" or not, I can teach you in a way that you will understand to absorb the information, not memorize. This will give you the confidence you need to succeed in math.

I have tutored math for students of all ages from 2nd grade to college over the past 12 years and have seen improvements in my students' confidence and ability after only a few sessions. Geometry is the first math class that created a confidence and love of math for me and I can help create that in your student, as well.
