I have had the privilege of photographing both sides of every Presidential election since the year 2000 and I have photographed 5 Texas governors, over 50 Grammy winning musicians, and hundreds of other prominent people from the worlds of film, business, politics and media. My work has been used by People Magazine, US Weekly magazine,The Handbook of Texas Music,The Austin Chronicle,Fort Worth weekly, Rolling Stone India, NBC News, Cosmopolitan magazine, MNN, MSN, Mother Jones, Wikipedia and dozens of other international, national and local publications.
I have been a contributor to the Globe photo Agency as well as several other international wire services since 1998. My commercial clients have included Stevie Ray Vaughan, Memorial-Hermann Hospital and Red Man chewing tobacco. I was also responsible for the second set of bone marrow harvesting photos done worldwide. My work has been featured in shows that were judged by photo historian Helmut Gernsheim and legendary photographer George Tice.
I have had the good fortune of being mentored by some of the finest photographers in the world. I have also managed three large commercial photolabs during the dawn of digital imaging. This experience gives me a depth of understanding of photography across many different formats and imaging platforms.
I offer instruction in basic photography both analog and digital, shooting for the wire ,and the fine art of silver based printing.
I also offer advanced instruction on the zen of photojournalism and documentary photography. I will be happy to custom tailor your lesson to your needs and we can do this in a relaxed no pressure setting or on "live " photo shoots under quality and deadline pressures. I want to be your photo teacher and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
