Columbia University (Russian)
Hello potential students!
My is Emiliano. I was born and raised in El Paso, graduated from Cathedral High School in 2009 and most recently completed my undergraduate education at Columbia University. My college education was spread across the entire spectrum of the liberal arts, including English Composition, Literary Analysis, Political Science, History, Economics and Languages. I focused on Russian Regional Studies, which was comprised of history, language and cultural studies. In the past I have studied at my aforementioned alma mater, Georgetown University, Saint Petersburg State University (Russia), UT El Paso and EPCC. Additionally, I have experience with standardized tests: GRE, SAT, SAT IIs, ACT, LSAT, TEKS, which I have received exemplary scores for.
As a potential tutor I can offer a wide range of services, so I can help your child master specific content, while prompting them to develop the type of critical thinking skills that are needed to be successful in their future studies. From reviewing homework to preparing for standardized tests, I can help students of any ability. Tutoring in not just for children that are struggling in certain areas, it can help even the most accomplished students prepare for the future and realize their full potential.
I have past experience, having worked in New York as an assistant teacher and previously in Russia as a volunteer teacher. I am also in the processing of being formally certified by the Texas Educational Agency. I am very familiar with all levels of the educational system, primary, secondary and advanced and as such I can assure you that with me you are not only hiring a tutor, but contracting a role model and accomplished teacher. As a father I know there is no greater investment than your child's educational success. I look forward to working with you! Hello potential students!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
