About Sarah

I graduated from UT with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Bachelor of Arts in French in 2011.

I am a writer by trade and I studied French for eight years. I spent a semester living in France, where I submersed myself in the language and culture. I love both the French and English languages and have a proven track record of success in tutoring.

I understand that each student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style accordingly. Most recently, I helped a high school sophomore bring her French grade up from an F to a B over the course of a semester. She was a primarily visual learner, so we reviewed the material she studied by writing out each conjugation, vocabulary word and grammatical structure in context. I am happy to prepare practice quizzes and assignments as necessary.

I am available to tutor high school and/or college students.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
