I'm an equal parts writer, traveler, reader, seeker, intercultural education advocate, yogi, and animal lover who lives in Austin, TX :) I'm so excited to be your tutor!
Though I currently make my living freelance writing, editing and tutoring, I have previously worked in Montessori schools and for a high school study abroad program provider -- speaking of which, I'm a huge fan of study abroad; please let me know if you're interested in doing this at some point & I'd love to tell you more.
And, speaking of travel: I LIVE for it. In the past year alone, I've been to Mexico, West TX, Iceland and France. I've traveled to dozens of countries, spent time living in both Ecuador and France, and love learning new languages (I'm fluent in French, and my current goal is to become fluent in Spanish, as well). I absolutely love to get outside my comfort zone and explore the world!
In addition to being a lifelong grammar nerd, skilled proofreader, and big-time reader, I scored perfectly on the English & Reading sections of the ACT. I have a true passion for the mechanics of the English language, reading, and grammar -- and I love to use this passion to help others!
Please feel free to contact me with any and all English-related questions -- I would really love to help you out! I'm an equal parts writer, traveler, reader, seeker, intercultural education advocate, yogi, and animal lover who lives in Austin, TX :) I'm so excited to be your tutor!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
