I was born in Florida, however, I was raised in Israel until the age of 13. My father is Israeli and I have been speaking, reading, and writing Hebrew ever since I was a child. English is my first language but I learned Hebrew at a very young age. While I lived in Israel I went to a public Israeli school for 5 years of my life and go back to Israel every summer as well. My Hebrew is very strong and I am very patient with students! If you need a tutor in the Austin area you found the right person for the job!

For weekly lessons and group lessons rates can vary.
If you want to travel to Israel you need a tutor (mora) who truly knows the current and proper vernacular -- who better than an Israeli/American student who is patient and informative? She speaks Hebrew daily to family so she knows how it's done, and not just on an intellectual level. It's immersion training and highly effective. You set some personal goals with her and she'll help you make them happen. I highly recommend Maia to anyone interested in learning modern or script Hebrew, and quickly too if you can keep up!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I grew up in Israel as a child and my father is Israeli. I taught Hebrew classes in High School to other students.
Having English as my first language, I went through the process of learning Hebrew first hand and understand the difficulty of learning a language which allowed me to patiently teach Hebrew.
