In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been a fitness nut since I was 15 years old. At age 40 I completed my first marathon and completed my second one at age 41. I currently work out using weights and calisthenics, but also run, walk, and cycle 6 days a week.
Besides being a fitness nut for 40 years, I ran cross country and track for two years in high school and completed two marathons in my forties while working full time and being a family man.
