I have over a decade of higher-level education in traditional academic subjects, as well as two years of graduate level education in religion. My personality is kind and charismatic, with a love of goofy humor. I hope we have a chance to sprinkle some healthy laughter all throughout our sessions.
At age eight, I was professionally administered an IQ test, for which the maximum reportable score was 155+. This was the rating I received - a result which places me within the top one third of one percentile of the population. Four years afterward, I enrolled in college full-time at age fourteen. In two years, I graduated with an Associate of Science at the top of my class, which included over one thousand traditional students and thirty other early-starters like myself. I scored a 1570 out of a maximum of of 1600 on the SAT, and I was awarded both the National Merit scholarship and Mercer University's premier scholarship for incoming students. At Mercer I received formal training in classical piano, before graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in philosophy, as well as three minors in physics, creative writing, and ancient Greek. I earned a perfect score on my first attempt on all three sections of the GRE and was offered a premier fellowship to Candler School of Theology at Emory University to begin my graduate-level studies. I declined this award in favor of studying for a Master's of Theological Studies at Duke University. Upon graduating from Duke, I then received the top university-wide award (the Harrington Fellowship) at the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently a fourth-year student in the PhD. program in philosophy through UT.

My group rate is the same as my private rate --- I am happy to teach multiple students in a single session if the subject is the same.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I completed a Master's in Theological Studies from Duke University in 2009, with an excellent GPA. My studies included courses on the Old and New Testaments, as well as biblical Hebrew. I have also studied biblical Greek as an undergraduate.
I am currently a fourth-year graduate student in good standing in the department of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. I have taken both an undergraduate level logic course from Mercer University as well as a graduate level logic course from UT Austin. I received an A in both courses, as well as good feedback from my professors. I work with logic on a regular basis in my research as a professional philosopher.
