I love the Spanish language and helping others better understand it. I am fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the Spanish language. I have received a Bachelors in Spanish and I am currently in the process of studying to become a certified Spanish teacher in Texas. I speak to my children in Spanish and two of them are now bilingual. I tutored students in YMCA after school programs for many years andI have also done in house tutoring and helped a student succeed on a major exam. I really enjoy making learning easy and fun for individuals while equipping them with the tools they need to be successful in the Spanish language and culture.
Sometimes it can be challenging to comprehend specific concepts because of the way they are taught, such as conversation, positive/negative commands, irregular verb conjugations, writing, reading, etc. If these concepts and rules are not taught effectively it can make learning difficult, unclear, and hard to understand. My goal as your tutor is to make these concepts more clear and understandable for you, the learner. It would be my pleasure to make learning Spanish fun, exciting, and more comprehendable for you. My 9th grade son was struggling greatly in Spanish 2. We found Adrian on Wyzant and the improvement my son has shown after just 3 sessions is amazing. Even his teacher has commented that she can already see that he is understanding it better and making great progress in bringing his grade up. My son says that if Adrain was his teacher he would be acing this class. Adrian explains things in a way that my son is able to understand and comprehend it. We would highly recommend Adrian for anyone who is in need of a Spanish tutor. We will be working with Adrian for the rest of my sons 9th grade year. I have no doubt that with Adrian's help my son will do amazing in this class.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
