About Joe

I enjoy learning new concepts and teaching concepts I understand to students of different ages. I know it can be confusing at times. I start elementary school in basics went to honors in high school. I have tutored math to elderly students in the past. I love history, have tutored people, and can help make it more interesting. The most satisfying part of teaching is seeing the spark in the students eye when they understand the material.

I have used math in my career as an engineer. I currently work in tech support over the phone in my full time job, so I can relate to be frustrated. The age range I work with over the phone is from 10 to 90. I know that these day almost all the young students can relate to computers, however math, science, and history can be a challenge. I deal with people that are afraid to use computers and help them fix computers. So I can relate to be scared of math, science ,or history, it just another area that can be challenging.

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Education from UTA. My Texas TEA teacher registration is current and includes all sciences and history. I am preparing for the mathematics test now. I have completed graduate classes in history and sociology. I can teach all history, elementary math. pre Algebra, Algebra I and II, and Geometry, pre-calculus.

I am willing to meet you in person at your house, my house, library, etc. I have hours everyday except Tuesday (only in emergencies). I prefer students in Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, Coppell. HEB, East Fort Worth areas.

I recommend Joe because of helpful he was even during times of stress where I didn't understand a problem. He shows and explains different solutions to problems and still explains them even when you feel doubtful which is a plus!
