About Kevin

Hello! My name is Kevin and I believe I have the experience, potential and knowledge to provide a quality tutoring experience for any student in grades K-12. I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington (May 2015), with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have also been in the graduate program for Architecture at UT Arlington since fall of 2015. With the wide range of coursework taken in college, and my personal academic achievements, I believe that I am qualified enough to teach most subjects from the K-12 level. I have been in "advanced" education courses throughout my 3rd-12th grade education, I graduated high school in the National Honor Society in 2007, I scored in the top 30 percent on the ACT, SAT, and GRE, as well as being awarded the Freshman Recognition Scholarship at the University of Texas at Arlington for academic achievements.

I have had experience in tutoring fellow classmates during my Elementary through High School career, as well as having experience in one on one tutoring through both Wyzant and school programs. I have experience with children and young adults through summer volunteering and in-school activities, and enjoy being around students in a learning environment. I would like to think that I am a personable person and easy to relate to. I am motivated enough to be able to excel, leading me to believe that I can also help your student to reach their goals in their own education. Thanks!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Easy for my son to relate to.

My teen son initially didn't like the idea of hiring a tutor to help him with Geometry, but within one session he was totally fine with the idea. Kevin is a great match for teens who want someone they can relate to, look up to and still feel like themselves with. Within just a few sessions my son's grade are coming right back up. I'm very pleased with Kevin and highly recommend him.
