University of South Alabama (Adult Interdisciplin)
I am a retired professional athlete. I was a 4 year starter at the power forward position in high school, before transitioning to the college level. I attend college on a 4 year scholarship for the Women's basketball program at the University of South Alabama Lady Jaguars. There I was also a 4 year starter setting records for the most points scored and rebounds, in which I still hold to this day. I averaged 26 points and 15 rebounds in my four year career. I also led the nation in rebounds as a freshman in 1986-1987.
After college, I chose to continue my career in Europe as a Professional Basketball Player. I played my first two years for Fenerbache Spor Club where I led my team to the Lillian Ronchetti Championship in 1992. After leaving Turkey, I chose to play in Switzerland, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and back to Adana, Turkey where I completed my professional basketball career. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a student of this game since 1980. I played at the high school level, the college level and also 10 years at the professional level. I led my team to the Women's NCAA tournament as a freshman, while leading the nation in rebounds. As a sophomore, I led my team to the WNIT tournament earning awards on the tournament's all first team. As a senior, I led my team to the Great Alaska Shootout winning MVP of the tournament. I led the SunBelt Conference in scoring, rebounding and blocks my senior year winning MVP of the SunBelt Conference. I to the day hold the scoring and rebound records for the University of South Alabama.
After college, I took my talents to Europe, playing in several different countries for 10 years.
In addition, in 2008 I became the second female basketball player to have their jersey retired at the University of South Alabama. The jersey is still displayed to this day.
