I am a recently retired (2013) high school math teacher with 30 years of classroom experience. I have taught all maths from 7th grade through AP Calculus. I like to focus on a constructivist style of teaching/learning which gets the student to a conceptual understanding of mathematical topics. I am currently an adjunct math instructor at Tarrant County College and Texas Wesleyan College.

Clifford has a tremendous knowledge of math and is excellent at explaining the concepts in a very understanding fashion. He is very patient and has a teaching style that gets through to the student. He listens to what is challenging the student and then finds the approach that will clearly explain the math concept. The results are improved understanding and better test scores. In short, he is an outstanding tutor.
He tutored 8 of our college freshman students and did a tremendous job. Highly recommended for calculus and for larger groups of students if that is your need.
It took a minute for us to get started, but when we did, Cliff was 100% engaged. We fully reviewed methods of process for each problem with notes for later review. I would hire him again.
Clifford tutored my son in algebra 1. He was awesome! He made it fun for my son. I would definitely use Clifford again and highly recommend him to everybody looking for a math tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
