8 years of experience teaching at various levels, 1000+ Successful students, a degree in Engineering and significant practical engineering experience helps me make education REAL. I teach in a manner whereby all the theory that may seem too abstract and 'dry' will turn interesting and relevant to the student. You will no longer struggle or feel frustrated. You will learn the what, why and how in everyday terms. The teaching is fine-tuned to suit the thought learning process of each individual student.
Highly proficient in teaching Math and Physics from HS to AP to College/MCAT level. Students gain an insight into these subjects working with me, leading to success. In addition I have prepared students for Standardized tests like the SAT I & SAT II, GRE , GMAT . These exams, along-with the ACT & MCAT have a certain "flavor" to them and I help the student capture this "flavor" which leads to success.
Mr. Dependable, as some of my previous students have nicknamed me, will show you the way to academic & real life success. As a teacher it gives me great satisfaction to see the transformation of a student into a confident person ready to take on the challenges posed to them. 8 years of experience teaching at various levels, 1000+ Successful students, a degree in Engineering and significant practical engineering experience helps me make education REAL. Pradip tutored my daughter in University Physics II and helped improve her grade from a C on the first test to A's on her other tests. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and knows how to explain difficult concepts. He is very approachable and patient.
Great tutor. Highly recommended. I enjoy the progress I'm making and look forward to advancing every week. Thank you Pradip!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
The nature of questions, wording, uniqueness are all features that are explained by me so that the student understands the nature of these exams and works along those bases to optimize results
I place a lot of emphasis on basics explaining them by connecting with real life situations that the student finds easy to understand.
Algebra is about "generalities". It is about saying 'a person' instead of 'my friend so and so' . An easy way to learn algebra is to begin with specifics first and then the 'unknown' concept can be captured, Everyday life examples are great to learn from.
As a teacher I would first ensure that all the fundamentals of algebra are in place and then move on to Calculus using day to day examples where it is used in a subconscious manner. Once the 'reality' of calculus is accepted it becomes a very interesting subject for the students from where they can take off.
Geometry is best approached by drawing diagrams the way they suit you and correlating these to everyday objects as you see them.
GMAT questions are to be tackled with finesse and verve. Specific techniques will be introduced to achieve a high score, The tricks used by the test writers will be discussed as well as the means to overcome these.
As an engineer I have all the math/analytical knowledge base and practical skill sets that are an essential part of the GRE. Additionally I have considerable experience helping students prepare for GRE as well as GMAT. This familiarity adds to formulating various strategies to build on the students strengths.
Physics is the why and how much of events that we see day to day. If we were to 'observe' as against 'seeing' Physics would have been an easy subject. So the Physics teacher's job is to make a student observe and the rest follows.
We have all heard about 'chances'. Doctors, Governments, Big Business all use this concept to try and predict the outcome of certain actions and events. At this level we will be keeping it simple and deal with a couple of factors to understand concepts and answer questions. Probability is one topic that is pure common sense.
The student is made aware of the specifics of the exam and is told what is expected of them. Techniques used in approaching the questions are then explained both from a knowledge/learning point of view and success in the PSAT.
I have prepared students for the SAT since 1992.
