I have a BA in music theory and have an excellent musical ear. During my senior year, I was appointed teaching assistant to a senior professor and paid to help music majors that were having difficulty with ear training and music sight reading. I was good at this and helped them very much. Every musician should have the ability to sing music at first sight. As bass section leader of the college concert choir, my ability to sight read music helped the other members of the section to learn the music faster. As a choir director, I could instantly detect singing mistakes by singers and would then sing their part correctly. I believe I could teach anyone to read music at sight.
