About Jayne

I have been teaching reading and all forms of language arts for 30 years. I have received my master of education as a reading specialist. I am also certified in reading recovery, ESL, g/t, classroom, physical education and dyslexia. I have taught reading recovery, ESL, title one reading, in at risk schools and now dyslexia. I have taught in a number of public school systems as well as private tutoring in my own home. My success rates has been approximately 75 to 80 percent of the students I have taught reaching their goals. This is very good score for reading intervention, with the lowest students in the school system. When I taught in a classroom setting 75 per cent of my students scored exemplary in their state testing.Reading is a game changer that opens up all other areas of academic learning. Due to my wide range of training , including Dylexia certification,I have the experience to help students of all levels of reading and writing, they should be able to show progress. I have found that this can be a fundamental difference between my teaching and other programs. I am deeply committed to helping these students. Don't let another day go by. I am here to help you . Time is a precious thing. You can't get it back!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Very knowledgeable and professional

Miss Jayne is teaching my 3rd graders reading and writing. She had been a teacher for long time and now retired and her real field experience helps my kids to set their writing skills. She is very professional and good with kids and I would strongly recommend her to my friends.
