Hello, I am a graduate student at West Texas A&M University with a degree in Psychology. I have been tutoring statistics for close to 10 years now. I have practical, real-world experience tutoring statistics and conducting/designing/analyzing experiments for a wide variety of fields (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Business, Nursing, etc).

I have extensive experience using many common statistical software:

SPSS
R/R Studio
Excel
STAT Crunch
JASP
G*Power

My background is research-oriented and I am skilled in both PowerPoint, and Word. I am versed in a wide array of statistical procedures including, but not limited to, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics (including both parametric and non-parametric), and power analysis. I have lectured at professional conferences about topics including null hypothesis significance testing, Bayesian probability, calculating confidence intervals and measures of effect size, and parametric assumption testing.

Over the years, I have worked with students that have varied greatly in their skill level and needs. I have helped high school students taking their first statistics course and Ph.D candidates getting ready for their dissertation. These opportunities have allowed me to develop the skills necessary to be able to present each concept in a clear and precise style designed to minimize the feelings of dread that can come with stepping into the often confusing world of statistical analysis.

I earned my degree in Psychology at West Texas A&M University. In my previous role as a graduate assistant, I taught many general psychology classes (including the development and grading of the exams) over the years. However, general psychology is not the extent of my experience; I have also guest lectured in many courses including, but not limited to:

Experimental Psychology
Learning
Philosophy of Science
Assessment
History and Systems of Psychology and many more.

I know many people come to statistics with some real concern about their ability

Satisfying

My first tutoring session with Jason with extremely satisfying. He has a great way in explaining concepts in an elementary way. I couldn't believe when he explained a few concepts and how I was able to grasp those concepts. He also asked me questions, which I like because it allowed me to see if I understand some of what I have been taught in statistics. I am taking at least 2 more statistics classes over the next year. I look forward to Jason tutoring me throughout that time.

Jason is a Perfect Statistics Tutor Excellent & Knowledgeable

I am a Ph.D. student majoring in psychology but feared statistics. Jason helped me grasp the concepts I needed to know in Psych 510 & 515. SPSS, Factorial Designs, Z -Scores, Eta Square, ANOVA's, Parametric & Non-parametric Tests, APA write-ups, etc... I passed both classes with flying colors. He helped me improve my grades and I am no longer scared of statistics. Jason was patient and knowledgable, no question was too silly. I had over 10 online sessions with him. He is an Excellent tutor!!!!!! If you happen to stumble across his page YOU HAVE FOUND A GEM!!!!!

Jason is awesome- pick him!

Jason is seriously the best tutor, he is patient and explained everything for me in a way where I could understand it. Statistics is hard and he helps make it doable!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Jason was very knowledgeable on statistics, so much so that I am surprised he is not a professor at a university (perhaps he is and I don't know it?). He was very patient with my desire for additional explanation and the frequent moving of meetings (although I would encourage the reader to show up on time- he's very busy!) I would absolutely recommend him for any statistics course, all the way up through graduate school. Truly a gem of his field.

Very helpful, very patient

I am grateful for Jason's help with probability distribution functions. I feel as if he has pointed me in the right direction. I would have likely spent many hours of frustrated Google searching without his thoughtful suggestions.

Wonderful tutor

He is very kind and patient. He never made me feel unintelligent. He is very well versed in statistics. I’m so glad I found this guy. Some tutors have an accent that can be hard to understand through the computer but I didn’t have that problem here. He speaks very clear.
