I'm an architect and MENSA member who loves teaching. My energy comes from helping others succeed. I have over 550 projects across four continents. Subject mastery is certainly part of successful tutoring but life experiences provide its flavor and interest. I've served on the Uniform Building Code Review Committee, Mayors Task Force on Community Needs, Abilene Preservation League, Leadership Abilene Alumni Steering Committee, Citizen's Committee for Storm Water Management, Abilene Philharmonic Board, the Board of Building Standards, and currently President of the Lytle Lake Water Control and Improvement District.

Interesting people make interesting tutors. I've talked soccer strategy with the Paramount Chief of Sierra Leone and split a soda with the youngest head of state in the modern world. I race vintage open wheel race cars and have sailboat racing victories in centerboard, multihull, and offshore classes. I skippered the 12 Meter Stars and Stripes against the Canadian 12 Meter North Wind. I make micro loans to widows in Mozambique and drill water wells for villages in Zimbabwe. I am an honorary USAF Aviator and former Little League coach and Science Fair judge. I've made money shining shoes, throwing papers, and as a baseball umpire. I've been through three hurricanes, the eyes of two. I know the secret of the Chinese ring illusion.
