MTSU Murfreesboro, TN
I have a passion for teaching-I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. I prefer to teach k-6, and Special Needs, ADD and ADHD are my specialties! I currently substitute teach in my local school district about 20 hours a week and also teach 3rd and 4th grade students in my Sunday School class. I have 3 children; 2 of them are ADHD, so I have had LOTS of experience with their unique learning challenges! I am a dedicated, hard-working teacher who will devote whatever it takes to see your child succeed. I am patient and kind and have lots of tolerance, and truly enjoy what I do. As you can see from my profile picture, I was meticulously trying to 'face paint' a student's cheek at a local school event! Teaching is my life, and I consider it an honor to have you or your child as my student. Together we will accomplish great things! What is your challenge today? English as a second language? Grammar? Phonics? Reading? Art? Music? Give me a try, you will find that learning can be enjoyable when you have the right teacher!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
