Bio

I have been tutoring students in math and computer science for over 10 years. I enjoy working on challenging math problems and teaching fundamental skills in a new way. I believe everyone can improve in math and computing, and I aim to develop a pathway for improvement with my students. I begin by working on a plan and goals with each student. I have been tutoring students in math and computer science for over 10 years. I enjoy working on challenging math problems and teaching fundamental skills in a new way. I believe everyone can improve in math and computing, and I aim to develop a pathway for improvement with my students. I begin by working on a plan and goals with each student. Then I work on some easier topics to build confidence as we work towards the hard stuff. This also provides an opportunity to understand the student's learning style, strengths, and challenges. Finally, I always keep working toward the student's goal, whether that is to pass a class or become an expert in the subject.

Some of my students have gone on to achieve perfect scores on the SAT Math and SAT subject test in Math Level 2 exams. I have worked with undergrads and grad students on complex Python development projects in web applications, data science, machine learning, and general programming.

I have a Bachelor's degree with distinction in Mathematics from the University of Washington. I have Computer Science and Web Development certificates, and I work as a professional data analyst. I tutor all high school math subjects, as well as Linear Algebra, Calculus I-III, Logic and related college classes. I also cover Python, C#, SQL, data science, and algorithms.

During the meeting we worked on a problem set that covered DFA and NFA. We looked at the class of regular languages that are defined by multiples of integers. We wrote DFA for 2 and 3 and proved that there was a DFA for 6.
