ANGLOMEXICANO DE CULTURA (SPANISH)
ESCUELA COMERCIAL INGLESA (Other)
My name is Marcia. I'm from Costa Rica and lived many years in Mexico where I studied accounting in a school in Puebla, Mexico, named Escuela Comercial Inglesa. I also studied English teaching with Spanish as a second major in a British School in Puebla, named Instituto Anglo Mexicano de Cultura. I presented my First Certificate for Cambridge University and decided to continue with an English Teaching (Proficiency in English). I attended different Human Resources seminars and all kinds of teaching workshops and seminars for study skills and innovations in Language Learning for student learners in all levels.
I worked for 9 years as an accountant. I was with a small accounting firm where I created the Customer department, giving information about the products and spare parts we could produce. The last 3 years I worked in the Human Resources Department, where I was in touch with the employees, the Union people and the Administration personnel, I really enjoyed this time as I love to be in touch with people.
In order to have more time with my family, I began to teach English in schools (elementary, secondary and high school). The first 5 years I taught English in Elementary and Secondary bilingual schools. The next 5 years I was a Coordinator in a Private High School, teaching English, Spanish Grammar and Spelling (Gramatica y Ortografia). I organized the tutoring workshops for students and all the activities at the school. I helped many students prepare in their subjects, increasing their grades, many times more than a letter grade. I have experience of more than 10 years tutoring and teaching. I promise we will find your personal strategy to learn and understand my native language, with a lifetime of experience in it. Let's learn Spanish together!. My name is Marcia. I'm from Costa Rica and lived many years in Mexico where I studied accounting in a school in Puebla, Mexico, named Escuela Comercial Inglesa. Marcia is mature, respectful, and shows genuine concern for her students' acquisition of the Spanish language. This is accomplished by not only understanding Spanish verbally, but, also, in written form through the language immersion medium.
Thank you Heather, was a good experience working with you
I've been working with Marcia for the last two weeks. She has been very helpful in both reading and writing of Spanish. She is kind, patient, and very positive. She has a great educational background and has a mastery of the detailed differences in the Spanish language throughout the different Spanish speaking countries. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Spanish.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
