George Peabody College for Teachers at Vanderbilt University (Organizational Manag)
I am a 25-year-old student of life that graduated on the Dean’s List (GPA 3.5+) from Vanderbilt University in 2014 with a degree in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness. I made a 33 on the ACT in high school. My first experience with tutoring came six years ago when I opened a branch of ACT prep tutoring.
Since that time, I’ve transitioned to work primarily with college students on Organizational Skills / Time Management, English, Writing, Literature, Entrepreneurship, and Math. I also work with high school students and occasionally grade/middle school.
My teaching philosophy is centered around teaching "how to learn." I find that most of my students are not actually struggling with the specific material itself but rather the discipline and the understanding of how to break down their learning in order to be autonomous. A successful student of mine is one that transcends the original need for my tutelage yet continues to seek it as a continual stimulus for academic growth.
Whether the challenge is actually in the course material or in weeding down to the root of the problems that are holding you back from success, I'm here to facilitate your growth as a student and as a human being. Please feel free to contact me and ask for referrals from other students I've worked with in the past.
Look forward to hearing from you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I studied Entrepreneurship and Leadership and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt. I worked for a start-up computer science company. I independently raised funding and planned a 4.5 month national tour. Manage my teaching and music careers independently and profitably.
I've learned how to analyze a problem and break it down into its constituent steps. Then I've worked on developing the practices to implement the discipline in order to execute on those steps.
I played guitar for 10+ years. I have taken various lessons and classes studying music as an elective at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music.
I studied songwriting extensively at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. I write professionally and perform original songs regularly with my touring band.
