My love of language learning has come from my time abroad in Spain. I was there playing basketball this past season and really enjoyed the challenge of improving my level of Spanish. In addition to playing basketball in Spain, I also taught eight hours of English weekly to students ranging from ages 6 to 55, and coached a basketball team of eight-year-old girls in one (of two) of their native languages (Spanish).
Before my time abroad, I graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with Cum Laude honors in both biology and psychology as a captain of the women's basketball team and Student Body Vice President.
