My love of art goes all the way back as a child, when I would use magazine to draw from as a source of reference. My art continue through high school by taking art classes and finally getting B.F.A Degree (Bachelors of Fine Art) in 1986. from Eastern Kentucky University. I have taught for two years in Kentucky and five years in the Metro Public Schools System in Nashville, Tn. since 2010. I also do art professionally, and have done commission of family members for clients and studied art abroad my senior year in college in the Summer of 1985.
As mentioned above, I have taught art in the Metro Public School System for five years. I love to impart my knowledge, skills and experience to children about art and how art effect their life everyday thru music, clothes, jewelry, dancing etch.
I want my students to create a work of art from the beginning to the end, so they can see what goes into art, beside just talent, skills, materials - but most of all expressing one individuality through art.

At the present, I doing abstract work and have shown my at the Bennett Gallery, Centennial Art Gallery and Crawl the Mall.
I am generally available on Tuesday and Thursday of each week in the afternoon for 2p.m. to 7p.m. and can travel to meet you. My base rate is $50.00 for in - person lesson. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been doing drawing for over 30 years professionally. I have taught drawing to in The Metro Nashville Public School System for five years. I have also done portraits in drawing for clients and people throughout the Nashville community. I have B.F.A Degree (Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree) from Eastern Kentucky University.
My degree was in graphic design and worked for McAlpin's Department as a layout / paste - up artist from 1986 - 1989. I have also did Church programs were incorporated my own drawing onto the program itself. Other times I have used the computer all of the graphic on the computer to get a more professional look.
