Hola! I am a lover of the Spanish language and culture! I have traveled extensively throughout Latin America and I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish as well as a Master's degree in Education. I studied for a year in Chile and lived there for another year after graduation. I gained experience teaching Spanish as a student teacher in two public high schools where I taught Spanish I and Heritage Spanish. I have several years experience working with and teaching English to Spanish speaking immigrants while working for the YMCA. Through my experiences as a high school Spanish teacher and ESL teacher, I have taught adolescents as well as adults with a range of student levels and abilities. I will be there every step of the way to meet the student where he/she is in the learning process. As well, I want to make sure the student is having fun! I do not want to simply teach the language, I want to convey my passion and ignite a similar passion for the language in my student. For me, language learning should be a passion and adventure!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
