Liberty University (Master's)
My name is Jordan A. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and lived in Covington, Georgia with my parents and younger sister, most of my life. I grew up in a Christian home and was homeschooled. I graduated from Liberty University in May 2014 with my Bachelor's degree in History (Magna Cum Laude) and a minor in English. In addition, I have experience tutoring. During my undergraduate career, I tutored in History and English. As a History and English tutor, I seek to educate minds – irrespective of ethnicities, gender, age, etc. Similarly, the study of history is vital to humanity’s survival. Remaining unaware of the past allows people to forget tragedies and take the sacrifices of brave individuals for granted. A deep study of history teaches us to reflect and learn from the past in order to create a better future for younger generations.
I graduated from Liberty University in May 2016 with my Master's degree in American History. I am excited to begin tutoring in American History and English. I also have teaching experience. During my graduate studies, I was a Graduate Student Assistant for Liberty University's History Department. I assisted professors in grading undergraduate students’ assignments, tests, and projects, taught upper division American and world history classes in place of primary professors, proctored History exams for residential undergraduate students, conducted quiz and exam review sessions for undergraduate students, and taught online History classes for undergraduate students. My goal is to work as either a museum curator or archivist. My hobbies include reading, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends. I look forward to working with you all!
I have written multiple research papers dealing with various segments within literature. Furthermore, I enjoy studying the complexities behind characters in novels, short stories, and plays.
I get students to think by asking challenging questions, allowing students to ask me questions, expounding on complex historical events, and explaining historical events on a understandable level.
I encourage students to contact me for more information and schedule lessons.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
