Bio

I am a former high school math teacher and an experienced tutor. I have had much success boosting grades and test scores. My students in Edison have moved up from regular math to "Honors" math under my tutelage.

My SAT-Math students on average boost their scores by 100 to 200 points. I even had one student raise his SAT-Math score by 300 points (it was lot of hard work).

My SAT II-Math II students have scored 760 or higher in recent years. Most recently, one student scored perfect...

Elementary Math

One of my youngest students was in 4th grade and struggling. Two years later, he is confident sixth grader taking "Honors" pre-Algebra in Edison school system. Another student is in 5th grader and I am transitioning him to Algebra after having completed "arithmetic."

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

Algebra I is a very critical subject. A good solid foundation in Algebra I will make Algebra II and Algebra III (precalculus) a breeze. It is important that you have a very good understanding of this subject...otherwise you will be miserable as you take more advanced math classes. I am a former high school Algebra teacher and I have taught Algebra I and II students of all backgrounds. I can help you!
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have helped many students in Algebra 2, successfully transitioning them to excel even in precalculus. If you need help in Algebra, look no further.
Geometry,

Geometry

I am a former NYC high school Geometry teacher and I was considered "extremely hard" for teaching proofs to my students. But my students were the only ones doing geometric proofs in the NY Reagents in the whole school. I have also designed summer program for students who want to get a head-start in Geometry. I even wrote a mini-Geometry book for this purpose. I can cover most major topics in Geometry in little as one month (it all depends on how motivated your child is) but most will take six-weeks (5 days a week).
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

A solid foundation in Prealgebra will help you breeze through Algebra I and Algebra II. I have taught hundreds of 6th and 7th graders. Many of them were admitted to NYC specialized high schools (Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, and Brooklyn Tech) based on their excellent SHSAT scores. Most recently, I have a 7th grade student who received the highest score ever (according to his dad) in standardized test given in Edison school system.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

College-bound Precalculus students (high school sophomores and juniors) should seriously think about taking the SAT II - Math Level II in June. Most competitive schools require it and it is also an excellent way to study for the school finals. I have much experience teaching SAT I Math and SAT II Math. I can help you boost your test scores.

Excellent Tutor

Eric has been great with our 14 yr old son, who was struggling with Algebra 2. He has been very honest about our son's needs. He scored a 94 on his last quiz after just 3 lessons. Eric truly cares about his students!
