Hi! My name is Jessica and I'm a rising junior at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in Neuroscience and Mathematics. I grew up surrounded by STEM and have grown to love it! Hi! My name is Jessica and I'm a rising junior at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in Neuroscience and Mathematics. I grew up surrounded by STEM and have grown to love it! My expertise is Mathematics, especially Calculus whether it be basic differentiation or integration or multivariable calculus.

Over a year ago, I started online tutoring during the pandemic, purely because I was free. However, I grew to love it! Even though it was not Math that I taught, I interacted with students ranging from age 11-60 years old. It was interesting to see how different people learn things differently and it taught me to adapt and improvise various teaching techniques. So, it doesn't matter if you are an auditory or visual learner, I will find a way to help you!

I got a 760 out of 800 on my SAT Math section, with only having one question wrong! I have a score of 4 in AP Calc AB and a 5 in AP Calc BC. I was also one of the only two freshmen in my Multivariable Class last fall. I recently also took a 300 level Math class combining disease modeling with Calculus called Mathematical Modeling. We had to write a research paper as a final and our group modelled the Tasmanian Devil Disease! In terms of tutoring, I taught over 50-60 students a year ago, creating my own content and approach!

In terms of classes, I will have work prepared during class and also for practice. Math seems complicated due to all its variables and different wording but if you know how to understand it, it's easier than English! Math may be a topic you are required to take at school but to me, Math is the only thing that always has an answer. The harder it is to find that answer, the more fun it becomes!

I will teach you how to read, interpret and respond to any and all type of math questions you are willing to learn! If you would like, we could definitely meet up online to do a trial!

Knowledgeable and Very Helpful Calculus Tutor!

Jessica is tutoring me on Calculus 2 and has increased my confidence on the subject by a lot. I have hired multiple tutors on this app for Calc 2 but I have not found them to be as helpful as Jessica. Jessica goes into depth on the material that I want to go over and she stops frequently to check if I am understanding the material. She also goes over my homework with me and it has helped me a ton! Jessica is a very educated individual and is great with making difficult concepts understandable. She is very patient and super nice and will go over things over and over again until you are able to understand. I would highly recommend this tutor!!
