High School Math Teacher specializing in breaking Geometry down

Hi, I'm Janniliz! I am a high school Geometry and Algebra 2 inclusion teacher. I graduated with a bachelors in teaching special education. I have been a teacher for over 3 years, and have experience in breaking down concepts to ensure that all learners grasp them! This is something I have learned to do through the years, because I have worked with different levels of students. I have also worked in different math classrooms, which has helped me understand what prerequisite skills are necessary (and may have been missed) for current math skills that a student may be learning. I love watching the moment when my students in class or tutor finally grasp a concept that has been challenging them.

I worked in a resource study hall classroom where my daily task was to work with students on their different math classes. Here I worked on reteaching concepts for students that may have missed them in class, or reteaching prerequisite skills that would assist them in better understanding the concept. I also would guide them through their homework and classwork. This ensured that there was no further regression in these classes, and they could keep up with their peers.

I have experience working with students in and out of the classroom with math concepts. My experience in the resource study hall has given me a comfort in working with any student who may need additional help with their required math classes! I have worked in middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Having experience in so many different classrooms has given me an understanding of what skills are necessary for them to understand the concepts they are currently working on.
