My energy, persistence, and patience serves to motivate my student’s to apply themselves and not give up. I LOVE teaching and tutoring! I LOVE watching students grow and become more self-confident. Everyone needs to know that someone believes in them. Every student of mine will know that I believe in them. I was an substitute teacher at Adamsville Elementary School and I loved each and every one of my students. I have a desire to learn myself and I believe that no matter what your circumstance, you always have more to learn. This enables me to be a very compelling tutor because I have a love for what I am teaching. I also went to Mexico to teach English. That was an amazing experience and I would love to go back. I love traveling and learning as much as I can about others and different cultures; along with the language. Seeing progress in others and seeing the light in their eyes makes it worth it. I am very determined do as much as I can for the person I am teaching and I want them to be able to say afterwards that I really helped them and that they learned more than they thought possible.
I not only have a love for languages but also for the culture behind it. You can't fully understand the language without understanding the culture as well. I continue to learn more every day and will always have the desire to do so. I want to share my love of languages with others and help them to learn as much as possible. I travel a lot and have real life experience with these languages and so I believe I can offer a different perspective than merely classroom experiences.
I am a native speaker and have studied English all of my life. I believe that I know the language inside and out. I also have been participating in public speaking events for several years and can help others develop the tools for becoming confident in this field.
I am here simply to help you, provide support, and answer any questions you might have. I am here for you and you can count on me to help you with what you need help with. The lessons I create and fun and interactive and I will not let you get sleepy or become bored whatsoever. Contact me for your first lesson! You'll learn more than you ever thought possible! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I shadowed the dietitian at my hometown hospital for several weeks. I also graduated with an excellent pre-nursing quantification. I also received a 100 in my Nutrition course and was told that I received the highest grade of the 200 people in my class.
During my time at the University of Memphis, I took a class in Public Speaking and received a 100 (A+). I was also part of a program called Emerging Leaders where I had to direct many youth programs through presentations and activities. I was involved in many different organizations on and off campus which demanded excellent public speaking skills along with the ability to captivate the audience.
