I have experience through a private tutoring-company in Little Rock, AR. I have tutored age groups from Middle School and High School students up to College students. This includes a variety of subjects: Physics, Statistics, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, ACT Math, ACT Science, SAT Math, and Spanish. I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics and am currently working on my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Believe me when I say, you won't find many people as qualified to teach or tutor mathematics.
For me, tutoring is personally fulfilling. I like helping others learn and passing my knowledge on to them. As a college graduate with a Physics degree, I know that hard work and dedication pays off. I always encourage others to learn no matter how challenging it may seem. I am patient yet persistent and I can explain concepts in various forms. I find that tackling problems with different approaches often helps students find the right method for them.
I specialize in tutoring math and physics of any level. From Pre-Algebra to Algebra 2, College Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry, along with Calculus and other higher math courses. ACT prep and GED as well. I graduated with a minor in Mathematics, so you can rest assured I have mastered the material and can help you do the same. With my Physics degree, I have a deep understanding of the topic and can teach any level of Physics from Introductory Physics to Mechanics and more. I understand that Physics can be a headache to people who aren't particularly interested in the subject, but working together we can make Physics tolerable if not fun!
As a tutor I will challenge my students but never overwhelm them. I understand that learning math and physics takes both time and practice. My goal is to assign homework after every lesson to complement the time we spend together. For my lessons, I follow a structured plan where we review the last topics we covered to make sure you understand it completely before moving on to the next topic. This way, we don't leave any gaps in your understanding of the material and we can be sure that you master all the material. In some cases, I find it is most beneficial to students if we work on the homework from their class. This assures them they are learning the correct material and gives them a confidence boost in class.
I look forward to working with you on your road to success!
