Hi, my name is Sara. I have several years of experience working with kids. I was a swim instructor for ages 4-12 for two years in high school. I continued working with kids as a dance teacher for ages 4-14 for two years. I nannied for a family of three boys while in college, ages NB, 4, and 8. I went to college to become a teacher. I student taught in kindergarten for a year and then taught kindergarten for a year and a half and was transferred to 3rd-5th science. I resigned from my teaching job last year and am currently a nanny for a family with 4 kids, ages 1, 6, 8, and 11. In my current position I am also in charge of home schooling the three older children. The family I am with now is moving, so I am looking for another family to help out! I love kids, and love making learning meaningful and fun!
I am a certified teacher kindergarten through ninth grade! My strongest and favorite subject has always been math. Started of college as a math major until I decided to switch to elementary education.
I have taught using the common core standards, and have taken specialized training on how to decompose each standard.

I love teaching individually and to small groups and I thought this would be a great opportunity to focus on the needs of individual students! I like to teach in meaningful exciting ways, and hope to help you out! Hi, my name is Sara. I have several years of experience working with kids. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
