I am a mother of 4 children ranging in the age from 29 through 13. I am also a grandmother of 2 with one on the way. I have always promoted education to my children and wanted to become an educator to do this for others. I see everyday as a teaching moment because education is all around us. My goal of education is to enrich the lives of my students while producing articulate, expressive thinkers and lifelong learners, who are socially responsible, resilient, and active citizens of the world. Education is about teaching students, not subjects. It is about engaging students in their learning, and maximizing the potential of each and every child. Education is about looking beyond the child’s intellect, and seeing the whole child. Education is about providing students with opportunities to be challenged and still succeed. Who can take their education and travel from one continent to another and carry what was taught with them. Basically I want them to be internationally minded.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
