Bio

My name is Erik V. and I tutor STEM subjects as well as computer proficiency and programming in Python and R. I have 7 years of tutoring and teaching experience at my university and job which I have found to be very rewarding. I have tutored groups of up to 30 students in math and science as well as individually. My experience includes subjects from basic algebra up to linear algebra, differential equations, and calculus. My name is Erik V. and I tutor STEM subjects as well as computer proficiency and programming in Python and R. I have 7 years of tutoring and teaching experience at my university and job which I have found to be very rewarding. I have tutored groups of up to 30 students in math and science as well as individually. My experience includes subjects from basic algebra up to linear algebra, differential equations, and calculus. I have also tutored physics many times. I've worked with students from all backgrounds and ages including disabled students who need a guiding hand to help them succeed.

I find that difficulty in math and science comes from not having a solid understanding of fundamental concepts. So, when I work with a student I start with a problem and break it down as basic as possible. After learning what is needed to accomplish our goal, repetition helps solidify concepts and critical thinking methods. I enjoy working with students, am very patient, and always encouraging.
