Greetings! My name is Natalya. I am originally from Russia. I have been in the U.S. for twenty years now. I am so very excited to help any student to be successful in school. My passion is to teach students in an engaging way. I believe every student is capable to learn with help and perseverance. I have received a Masters in Teaching from Spalding University and I am certified to teach elementary school subjects. I have worked as a Substitute teacher for Jefferson County Public School for several years. I have also worked as a Sunday school teacher for a few years. I have worked with students for the past twelve years. I am more than willing to help a student learn a subject in school and help make the student comfortable with his/her ability in school. Confidence in a student is priceless and it is a big factor in being successful during the school years and beyond. Elementary school is the ground work for students to enter the academic arena, which will lead to a great career and a happy and well-rounded life. I thank you for your time and reading my profile, please don't hesitate to contact me for help in your child's future.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Math can be a tricky subject to get a handle on. All you mainly need is patience and different ways of thinking and working a problem. I am able to provide engaging, fun, and hands on activities to help to understand a math problem. Working together (you and I)and practice of similar math problems can help you learn. Math is actually all around, if you just take the time to see it, this will make math more understandable and useful for you in your daily life.
Science is the way things work in the world. Science can answer many of your questions of how things work and why. In science there are so many fun and hands on experiments that you can do to help you understand a concept in science.
Reading is a time when you can learn to know things around the world by spelling out with letters, that turn into words, that turn into sentences, that turn into paragraphs, that turn into stories of any topic you want to know more about. Reading helps you be able to see on paper what a very smart person such as an author writes about Science, or your favorite singer, or the daily news.
Writing is your chance to write out all those wonderful thoughts that you have everyday. It is a chance to show the world what you know, what you want to know, and what interests you the most and much more.
Social Studies is like taking an adventure by studying all the neat places in the world. You can use your imagination to search for places and people who you haven't met. Social Studies gives you information to know what went on before you were born, how were things when only animals were alive, how do other people in different parts of the world live and many more surprising cool facts to hunt down for yourself.
