University of the Cumberlands (Graduate Coursework)
I am most competent in history. However, I am also capable of helping in any social science, such as economics, bible, anthropology etc. critical thinking, literature, and composition, which are also strong suits of mine. I currently substitute teach for the Knox County school system.
My degree emphasis was in history. I am especially well versed in American History, more particularly from colonialism to reconstruction. My specific Bachelor of Science Degree is in Secondary Social Studies.
I have also taught math intervention, from elementary up to high school.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My specific Bachelor of Science degree is in Secondary Social Studies. I attended a small liberal arts college, which requires a diverse range of coursework as well. My degree prepared me to teach any social science. The coursework was reading and writing in intensive, requiring competency in English/Comp. skills. This school was a small Baptist college and in addition to the standard coursework, classes in the old and New Testament were required, along with Christian History. My junior year, I also took a course centered on Islamic History and the greater Arab world.
I played college football for 2 years before injury. I also played throughout high school receiving multiple honors. After college, I began coaching and have coached high school football for 6 years.
My experience with the Praxis consists of scoring in the top 15% nationally on all my tests. I know best practices and strategies concerning standardized tests.
I began participating in varsity track as an 8th grader. I continued throughout my high school career. My participation experience was in the field events, shot-put and discus. I have coached the sprint events as well.
