I am currently in my ninth year as a teacher. I taught 7th grade for 6 years and for the past three years have taught a combination on 8th grade and Algebra I classes. I graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a double major in Mathematics and Math Adolescent Education. I hold teaching certifications in New York and Tennessee. I have tutored for high school math classes, ACT and college level calculus.

I love tutoring because I love to help people to understand something they struggle with. My strength is making math relatable and easier to understand. I teach for the "ah-ha" moment. I feel accomplished when I am able to help someone understand mathematics.

I was in the honors program for math in college. I received A's in all math courses. I worked for the tutoring center at my college where I tutored all college level math courses. I taught a review calculus class weekly during my senior year. I am also familiar with all middle school Tennessee state standards as I am a current certified teacher
