Hey there! My name is Lauren Pettit, I'm a math tutor from Knoxville, TN.
I graduated in 2021 with my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education emphasizing mathematics and taught for one year as a high school instructor in the subject areas of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus.
I strive to make my tutoring sessions act as a springboard for students to soar to their highest potential, and would love to help your student lay a strong foundational understanding of mathematics that they can utilize for the rest of their academic career. Personally, I am a visual learner, and find it most helpful to utilize visuals, games, and activities to make learning math even more engaging for the students.
I am able to relay complex concepts in simple terms, and I utilize manipulatives and real-world applications to help students grow to have a personal love for mathematics.
