About Jesse

Bio

I’ve loved math from a young age and started tutoring in high school. I was a member of the Mu Alpha Theta math honor society and part of that was tutoring during your free period. I love seeing a concept click in someone’s mind for the first time and the confidence that it gives them. I enjoy explaining concepts in new and different ways. Tutoring became both a passion and a job in college. I was employed by the university as a tutor in our math tutorial center. This was a wonderful place...

This was a wonderful place where any student could come free of charge and get help. The experience I got there molded me into a patient and effective tutor.

I was lucky enough to go to a wonderful middle school that offered algebra and geometry. In high school, I took Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus. During this time I predominantly tutored algebra and geometry. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee. While I was there, I took math classes including Honors Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Matrix Algebra, and Differential Equations as well as many math heavy physics courses. These classes gave me the knowledge to tutor many subjects during my college career including: Mathematical Reasoning, College Algebra, Finite Mathematics, some Statistics, Calculus, and Matrix Algebra.

I excelled in my own courses when taking calculus 1, 2, and 3. Calculus was also my most tutored subject when I worked as a math tutor for my university.

Great First Lesson

Jesse R. helped me clarify how to solve limits and some of the unless involved with them. She used a more visually based teaching technique which is how I learn best and helped me better understand the steps to working with limits.

Weight lifted off of us!

We had our first session with Jesse and she was very clear, concise, and patient with my child and helped him start to get caught up on some assignments he has been struggling with. I feel like a weight has been lifted off both of us and look forward to working with Jesse more in the future.

Excellent tutor!

Jesse has helped me with Factoring Polynomials, Linear and Rational Equations, Linear & Absolute Value Inequalities, etc.. So far, she has been excellent at helping me piece together what I am missing in a way at which makes it stick. Without her tutoring, I would most definitely have failed this semester but am currently sitting at 89%. No matter the level you are at, she is a great resource that I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent tutor with great communication style!

My son used Jesse for Algebra I. She is so calm and friendly. Extremely patient and explained things in a clear and concise manner when he didn't understand something. Super helpful and we will definitely use her next time. Thank you so much for your help, he feels extremely confident for his test tomorrow.

She is AMAZING

I literally went into the session barely even understanding factoring, but I came out of it so confident! She answered all my questions, was very patient, and explained everything! I will definitely book again.
