About Paige

Hi there! I am currently a law student at the University of Tennessee. I recently graduated with bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. I am looking for part-time work during my time away from school. At my undergraduate institution, I tutored students in a variety of subjects, mostly in English and Psychology. While in high school, I was part of a tutoring program for AP students.
In addition, I have experience with helping children with special needs. I was an aide at a local elementary school, where I worked with severe special needs children. Two of my own nephews have been diagnosed with ADHD. I can work with a wide range of children, and look forward to speaking with you!

I have always loved math! With numbers, there is only one right answer. I believe I could teach your child that numbers are actually more straightforward than words.

I have always loved to read! The more you read, the more you can expand your vocabulary. I know tricks to assist with memorization and comprehension, and I look forward to sharing these with your child.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to talking with you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Basketball

I played basketball for eight years. Four of those were as a starter for the high school team.

Elementary (K-6th)

I was a substitute teacher at a K-6th elementary school in Indiana. I was also an aide for the severe special needs room in that school. I have experience with children who require extra assistance and those in a gifted and talented program. My undergraduate studies helped me learn how a child's mind is programmed to absorb information, and I incorporate these techniques into my study sessions.
