I have always loved school and loved learning. I would be a professional student if I could. i received my Undergraduate degree in Accounting and quickly realized this was not what would make me happy. I went back to school and earned my Masters in Elementary Education. I fell in love with teaching and love getting to know my students and adapting my teaching to accommodate their learning styles.
I completed my student teaching in May of 2014 and had my first child in November of 2014. I currently own a dance studio in Wise, Virginia. Teaching dance is a way I have combined my two passions in life. I do not currently teach at a school but do have my teaching certification and look forward to helping students grow confident in their learning abilities.
I have my Masters in Elementary Education. I have always been an excellent test taker and wound love to share my study strategies with a younger generation. I believe test taking strategies and study strategies are not being taught thoroughly in public schools and would be so helpful to students. I also have a degree in accounting so I love numbers and love using hands on strategies and manipulatives to get the concept across.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
