I graduated from Auburn University in the summer of 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in interdisciplinary studies with emphasis in biology and psychology. My course load in undergraduate consisted of Genetics, Molecular Genetics, General Chemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Evolution and Systematics, Sensation and Perception, Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, an array of Philosophy courses, plus many more.
I have a year of tutoring experience with high school students from grades 9-10 and middle school students grades 6-8 in biological sciences as well as basic mathematics. Given my background in psychology I am proficient in implementing proven cognitive methods of word association tactics to aid in memorization and learning. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
