I currently reside in Henderson Tennessee with her husband and two children.
I have enjoyed reading and writing since childhood; I was that child who would come home with twenty books from the library, then read them in a few days! I have served in a variety of capacities while also working successfully with students from all levels and abilities. In true English teacher fashion, I am a devourer of books and an avid writer. Seeing students take pride in their hard work and accomplishments is what teaching is all about. Teaching and being a part of the learning process is the ultimate reward for any educator. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I enjoy reading in my free time. Students in special populations need one on one instruction to close the gap of their learning deficit. These students are often the brightest and the best to work with. I love the feeling when a student finally gets mastery on a task that have been difficult to them and achieve what they set out to do.
Being able to let students work at a pace that is most comfortable to them helps to accommodate all learning styles.
