I have tutored informally while in college. I am patient and understand the difficulties involved with learning subjects that seem complex. I have struggled myself in math and science but overcame my struggles with guidance and perseverance. I enjoy helping others grow not only academically but as an individuals.
I have learned that to learn anything takes a commitment. I will commit to help others learn when they themselves are willing to make a commitment to a subject or endeavor. Anxiety comes with learning difficult subjects, once this is known and overcome, a great sense of joy and accomplishment will follow.

I have taken and passed undergraduate mathematics, algebra, and calculus. I also am proficient with fractions and have worked with the metric system as a machinist for many years. I have taken and understand undergraduate and graduate statistics.

I have an undergraduate degree in Biology from VCU. I completed graduate courses in Stream Ecology and Virology. I have also taken immunology. I have an ADN in Nursing from J. Sargeant Reynolds C.C. I have been an RN for 12 years. I hold Nursing licenses in VA, WA, and an expired nursing license in Maine. I am currently applying for a TN Nursing license. I have 8 years of cardiac, medical-surgical nursing, as well as 4 years medical-surgical-trauma/ICU experience. I have recently worked as an ICU Travel RN for 2 years, mostly out West in Texas, Arizona, and Washington.

Learning is fun! Learn to work hard, take plenty of breaks, and most of all--------- ask for help! Life-long learners love to pass on what they know about education and specific subjects. Please call when ready to accept help and make a commitment to learn.
