Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Here are a couple of reviews from previous students:
"I hope this message finds you well!
So I am in Gen-Chem this semester and I even though I've only been in class for two weeks, I wanted to already thank you for preparing me!
We do OWLs, and let me tell you they don't hold a candle to MasteringChem In the OWLs, there are TONS of dimensional analysis problems, and all because of your class, they don't scare me or intimidate me! I completely feel like I have a leg up on the other students, which I know was your goal all along (and the goal of BGA as a whole for that matter).
Although sometimes I didn't enjoy staying up until the wee hours of the morning working on chemistry, I am thankful that you challenged us, and made me a better student because of it!
I can't say it better than Hebrews 12:11-
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
Thanks again!"

"I have about 150 people in my chemistry class and we had our first test a couple weeks ago. the class average was a 65! There were literally like 10 people that made an A. and one of those people was me! I got a 94! I just wanted to saw thank you so much for everything you did for me these past two years! You're such a great teacher and I'm so glad I got to have you! I know some of the students *cough juniors from last year cough* might give you a hard time and say your class is too hard or whatever but they have no clue what they're talking about! I give you permission to tell the next person that complains to say layla said that they're going to regret it. I was in that same position at times, but your class has prepared me so well for college. Thank you again for everything! You're a great person and a wonderful teacher. I hope you're doing well! I'll be sure to stop by and come see you next time I'm in town!"

Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to be working with you in the near future.
