I currently work for an architecture and engineering firm as an interior architectural designer. I have vast knowledge and training in a variety of design and drafting programs such as Architectural Desktop, Studio Viz, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign that could be useful to anyone looking to gain a basic knowledge, someone who is hoping for a refresher, or a professional in need of new skills. As a lifetime lover of math, I would enjoy the opportunity to tutor in that subject on a range of levels for any age up through high school level curriculum. Also, I have been a flute player for 15 years and would really like to tutor beginning and intermediate players. Please contact me to discuss an interest in tutoring, I look forward to hearing from you! I currently work for an architecture and engineering firm as an interior architectural designer. Brittany is extremely accommodating and patient. I had a very pleasant tutoring experience with her and although I could not get the files that I had particular questions on to come up on my pc, she did her very best to help me vet questions from what I could get on my desktop. I really appreciate the comfortable ease that Brittany exudes and look forward to our next session soon.
Thanks Brittany and WyzAnt!
I have accomplished learning the CAD commands that I was not familiar with thanks to Brittany. This has been a very positive experience for Brittany and I concentrated on the specific skills that I was lacking instead of an overall course that would have not been applicable to my function at work. Thank you Brittany and thank you WyzAnt Tutoring.
My daughter has had one tutoring session with Brittany and she's enthusiastic to continue. Brittany established a very positive rapport from the outset, encouraging all my daughter's questions, answering every question patiently and thoroughly, and explaining each concept so that my daughter fully understands the mathematical principles she's learning. Brittany also responds promptly to every email I send and proactively emails me when she has questions.
Brittany responded to every question I raised about the InDesign program, and showed me how to solve the problems I have to deal with on my current eBook project. She would explain, then I would follow her instructions. It all worked. I was really tired after a very long day, but she made the learning experience fun. Thanks.
Brittany was very patient and knew the answers to all my questions so far. I look forward to our next lesson and progressing towards my goals.
Brittany is a very patient and helpful tutor. She is helping me on a complicated photoshop project deadline while I have little understanding of this software. She has helped me understand complicated procedures as well as the basics. When we come to a "road block" she researches the problem and finds the solution for the next session. While I am under a lot of stress, she remains calm and willing to help even within her own demanding schedule. I appreciate her being so accommodating.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been using InDesign for 9 years for a variety of applications and would love to tutor people in basic skills or even specific functions for certain types of design uses.
As a licensed interior designer with over 7 years of government, mixed-use, commercial, healthcare, retail, and residential design experience and through my accredited education and various trainings, I have a very strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and would love to help others in any way I can!
I have been taking and teaching art classes for over 12 years. I have taught and tutored to all age ranges. My education background is from the Ringling School of Art and Design where I majored in Interior Design and minored in Art History and Photography. Still life, figure drawing, and animation are just a few of the many possibilities that I can lend my skills on for teaching drawing. Drawing is something that anyone can learn to do!
I have played the flute and competed in a large number of competitions for 10 years. It would be great fun for me to teach beginners and intermediates how much fun flute playing can be. Through my school years I was in band and several other small ensemble groups. The piccolo is also something I enjoy playing and would be happy to teach as well. I'll be happy to share anything someone would like to know!
