Well, as my headline says, I am a former high school chemistry teacher who is looking to help struggling students in the tri-cities area. I have taught chemistry, honors chemistry, Advanced Placement chemistry, environmental science, general science and a whole host of other classes for the past ten years. I have been looking for a full time teaching position in the area; however they seem to be few and far between. My fiancée and I are working on building up an organic farm in the area and in the meantime I thought that I would offer my tutoring services to make ends meet.
I do have a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry as well as a master’s degree in secondary education. I can honestly say that I am an excellent science teacher and I can guarantee that if we work together your grade in science will drastically improve. My passion has always been teaching and I believe that every student can excel in any class with the right teacher/tutor.
I am able to break ideas down and teach the fundamentals. I can explain topics in a manner that students can understand and I know the interesting stories behind many of the scientific principles that underlie our physical world.
I have taught several after school science programs for both enrichment and for struggling students.
If you are looking for a fun, dynamic, knowledgeable tutor with years of positive teaching experiences look no further. I encourage you to set up an appointment with me and earn the grades that you deserve. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
