My undergraduate degree is B.S. Civil Engineering with an M.A. in Education -Mathematics. I went into this route for my graduate degree because I loved to teach. I believed that teaching is an art, and to be effective at it one must be equipped with all the tools and skills as well as develop the traits of patience, empathy, and tolerance in helping a student succeed. I have had the pleasure of helping thousands of students succeed and graduated in my 15 + years in teaching both in public and private schools. I have been a recipient of the "Instructor of the quarter" award more than ones. Teaching, to me, is the most fulfilling and rewarding profession.
At present, I am a college professor teaching math and drafting and design courses. In my classes I dealt with young and adult students each have various fears, needs, and expectations. Some have been out of school for a long time, and are scared of math. I take it as a challenge to build their confidence and trust in me to help them succeed. In every class that I have, I always motivate my students to believe in themselves, challenge them to excel, then, go further and beyond their comfort zone. However, I try not to overwhelm them that they get frustrated, nor underwhelm them that they get complacent.
I firmly believed that setting a high standard in teaching will yield excellent results. I want my student's satisfaction because satisfaction builds confidence! I welcome feedback, and I am willing to make adjustment of my time whenever possible. I am pedantic with time so I adhere to my 24-hour cancellation policy.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you succeed in your studies!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
