The student just needs a few tools that help him or her reach the set goals.
Tutoring first has to win the heart of the child. My teaching style uses the hook, look, book ,took method of learning. I use a hook to get then to look in to the book, whereby in the book they take the lesson. In tutoring sessions, it is much less formal.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over 20 years experience pubic speaking, and teaching. The majority of my work has been promoting various not for profit organizations. I have also performed in community theater with my children while our stay in PA. There are some tricks one can learn to promote yourself before the crowd. For ten years as a Pastor I prepared messages to be given 3 times a week. During my tenure as a Guest teacher in the Pa schools I had as a moment notice assimilate my lesson plans and command attention of the class. This enabled me a great deal of practice sharing information as a special speaker.
My study of religion is extensive, from the study of the original languages of the bible, to textual criticism, to book studies and lessons, to comparative religions, to church history. I have a masters of Divinity which gave me a well rounded approach to religion.
As a Guest Teacher within the York and Adam Co School Districts in PA. I was through the Lincoln Intermediate UNIT #12, able to teach many types of students under Special Education., students in, Ls learning support , LSS Life Skills PDD, autistic, Gifted students, and Alternative Education. In each opportunity the students responded good, which made for a great teaching experience. One of my students was an partially deaf, autistic student in the vocational welding Class. With the help a few teachers, we were able to get our student through his senior project, power pt presentation. In class we worked on welding stainless steel and presenting his power pt. to the class. We also worked on a job site during the evenings enabling him to transition into the work force. This was just one example.
